Crock Pot Beef Stew
This would go well with our 7-up biscuits.
Ingredients
3 lbs beef stew meat 1/4 cup flour 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1 clove garlic (I use 2-3 because I love garlic) 1 bay leaf 1 tsp paprika 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 1 1/2 cups beef stock 1 tbsp beef bouillon 3 potatoes cubed 1 onion chopped 2 stalks celery 3-4 chopped carrots
Instructions
Place stew meat in the crock pot. Sprinkle flour, salt and pepper on top and then toss meat to coat completely.
Add all other ingredients, and cover.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours of high for 4-6.
If you desire, add dumplings (recipe below) 30 minutes before the cooking time is up.
If needed, thicken your stew with a slurry of 4 tbsp corn starch and 4 tbsp water.
