1 cup brown sugar, packed 3/4 cup butter, softened 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla 2 cups flour 1 tsp baking powder
Filling:
1 cup chopped pecans 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed 1 tsp vanilla 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
Mix together 1 cup brown sugar, butter, egg and vanilla with an electric beater. Add in flour and baking powder. (Dough should be soft but not sticky)
Shape dough into one inch balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet, a couple of inches apart. Put an imprint in the middle of each cookie with your thumb.
In a small bowl mix together filling ingredients until well blended.
With a teaspoon, full each cookie indent with filling.
Bake at 350F for approximately 12- 15 minutes. Allow to cool a few minutes before removing from pan.
