Thanks to Terry for encouraging me to seek out this Tex-Mex version of Cranberry Sauce.
Ingredients
1 cup water 1 c sugar 1 12 oz package fresh or frozen cranberries 2 tbsp chopped jalapeno peppers 1/4 c fresh cilantro 1/4 tsp cumin 1 green onion, white and green parts, sliced 1 tsp lime juice
Instructions
In a medium saucepan combine water and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil. Add cranberries, and allow to come to a soft boil. Allow to boil for 10 minutes, without stirring, over medium heat.
Pour mixtures in a glass bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Cover with a piece of plastic, directly on the cranberry mixture. Cool at room temperature and then refrigerate.
