Prep Time: 30 minutes Processing Time: 25 minutes
Yield: 5 jars
Ingredients
5 cups mashed strawberries 7 cups sugar 1 package fruit pectin 3 T lemon juice 1 t butter (cuts down on the foaming)
Directions
Mash strawberries. Measure carefully. Put in pan w/pectin and butter. Bring to a boil that you cannot stir down. Add sugar. Bring back to a rolling boil. Boil 1 minute constantly stirring.
Put into sterile jars with sterile lids and rings. Place jars into already boiling water. Process pint jars for 10 - 15 minutes and 1/2 pint jars for 5 to 10 minutes. Let sit until completely cool.
