1 & 1/2 cup white flour 1 & 1/2 cup whole wheat flour 3 tablespoons oil 1 teaspoon baking powder 3/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup warm water Instructions
Mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually stir in water and oil until crumbly dough forms. Work with floured hands until dough holds together.
On a floured board, shape into a ball and knead until smooth.
Divide dough into 12 parts, rolling in your hands to make smooth balls of dough, cover with damp towel and let set for 15 minutes.
Use a rolling pin to roll out into circles. Roll them as thin as you can
Cook on medium heat in ungreased or very lightly *greased skillet or griddle.
When tortilla starts to bubble, flip it over, when it starts to bubble, pat it down with spatula, when the entire tortilla starts to inflate, take it off the grill. This only takes about 3 minutes each.
