1 cup cornmeal 1 cup all-purpose flour 2 tablespoons sugar 1 tablespoon baking powder ½ teaspoon baking soda 3/4 teaspoon salt ¼ cup butter (½ stick), melted 2 eggs 1 cup buttermilk 3-5 pieces of bacon, cooked, and crumbled 1/3 cup chopped pecans
Mix together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
In a small bowl, mix together the butter, eggs, and buttermilk until completely blended. Add this mixture to dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
Fold bacon pieces and chopped pecans into cornbread batter.
