2 1/2 cups fresh blackberries 1 cup sugar 1 cup flour 2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup milk 1/2 cup margarine, melted
Mix blackberries and sugar in a bowl. Allow to sit for 20 minutes or so.
In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and milk. Add in melted margarine and combine slightly. You do not need to completely blend it. It should be a little lumpy.
Pour batter into a casserole dish. The smaller the dish, the deeper the cobbler. Carefully distribute the blackberries and sugar on the top. The blackberries will sink. That's just fine.
Bake at 375F for 40 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the blackberry juice bubbles up.
