This flavor filled crock pot meal is perfect for the busy family, on a budget. Served over rice or noodles, it holds definite promise as a comfort food that will be requested often.
Ingredients
2 lbs beef steak cut into strips garlic powder 2 green peppers, cut into strips 1/2 onion, sliced into strips 2 tbsp oil 1 beef bouillon cube 1/4 c hot water 1 tbsp cornstarch 1 (15 oz) can stewed tomatoes 3 tbsp soy sauce 1 tsp salt 1 tsp sugar 1/4 tsp ginger
Instructions
In skillet, brown steak pieces in oil until browned. Season with garlic powder to taste.
Place in the bottom of crock pot.
In a measuring cup, mix hot water, bouillon cube and cornstarch. Mix well until all is dissolved and pour over beef.
Add stewed tomatoes, soy sauce and spices. Add peppers and onions. Give a quick stir.
Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 until beef is tender.
