Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 12-15 minutes
Yield: 4 dozen

Ingredients and Instructions

1 c butter
1 egg
2 tsp rum flavoring
3 c sifted flour
3/4 c sugar
1 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt.

Cream butter,sugar,flavoring. Add egg and flour,salt and nutmeg. Roll into long rope and cut into pieces. Bake on greased cookie sheet or line with silicone pad, parchment paper. Bake at 350 for 12-15 min. Cool and frost.

Icing
1/3 c butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp rum flavoring
2 c 10X sugar
2 tlb light cream or milk

Ice cookies, then run fork down top of cookies and sprinkle with nutmeg, to make them look like bark.
