2 pounds ground beef 1 pack dry onion soup mix ¼ cup seasoned breadcrumbs ¼ cup milk ¼ cup flour 2 tsp olive oil 2 (10¾ oz) cans cream of mushroom (or chicken) soup 1 (1 oz ) pkg dry au jus mix 1 cup water
Instructions
Mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion soup mix and milk. Mix well and form into 8 patties.
Dredge patties one at a time in flour, and fry in skillet, in oil until brown on both sides. Place the patties in the crock pot, staggering or layering them as needed.
In a medium sized bowl mix together soup, gravy mix and water. Pour over top of patties and cover with lid.
Bake in crock pot on low for 4 hours until cooked through and firm.
If desired you can add sliced onions and/or sliced mushrooms on top before adding soup mixture.
