Brisket and Beans
Ingredients
1 cup of chopped brisket, chopped 2 large cans (28 oz) of baked beans 1 tsp oil 1 onion, chopped 1/2 bell pepper, chopped 1/3 cup BBQ sauce (my choice) 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed 2 tbsp molasses 1/8 cup cider vinegar 1 tbsp prepared mustard 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp red pepper flakes (I used about 1/2 tsp) 1/4 cup cola
Saute onion and bell pepper in oil in skillet. When onion is translucent, add in brisket and cook for about 2-3 minutes. Transfer to a large mixing bowl.
Add all other ingredients to the bowl and mix well.
Pour into a prepared 9x9 baking dish.
Bake at 325 for an hour.
*this recipe could also be cooked in a crockpot (4 hours on high or 6 on low) and brought to a potluck.
