Stovetop Taco Casserole
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef 1 taco seasoning packet 1 can diced tomatoes 1 can tomato sauce 1 4oz can green chiles 2 cups water 1 cup frozen corn 2 cups dry elbow macaroni pasta * 1 cup shredded cheese
Brown ground beef in a large skillet. Drain and return to the pan.
Add taco seasoning, water, tomatoes, tomato sauce, green chiles, and corn. Bring to a boil.
Add dry pasta and reduce to a simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Remove from heat, add cheese and cover. Serve when the cheese has melted.
* I used Texas shaped pasta from HEB (Texaroni) instead of elbow macaroni.
