Simple Onion Braised Pork Chops
Ingredients
4 pork chops salt and pepper 1/2 cup beef broth 1 pouch of onion soup mix (or make your own here)
Season pork chops with salt and pepper. In a skillet, brown both sides.
Reduce heat, and add 1/2 cup beef broth and onion soup mix. Cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes at least, turning the pork chops over about 1/2 way through.
If desired you could remove the pork chops at the end of the cooking time and thicken the braising liquid with a cornstarch slurry (1 tbsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water) to thicken sauce.
