1/2 head of iceberg lettuce chopped 1 medium sweet (vidalia type) or red onion diced finely 1 green pepper diced finely 1 cup fresh or frozen peas ( I often need a little more) 3/4 cup crumbled bacon 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1 cup mayonnaise (I use 50/50 mayo and miracle whip) 2 teaspoons sugar
Method: in 9X13 pan layer the ingredients in the following order- lettuce, green pepper, onion, peas, sugar sprinkled over peas, bacon, mayonnaise, cheese.
To reduce calories- use 2% cheddar cheese and light mayonnaise.
