Schaum Torte
Thank you to Stacey Messina Weiss for this new recipe! She tells me: "Schaum Torte is light, fluffy airy and delicious served with sliced berries and whipped cream! I had small portion this morning already! The pic is of the one I made last night and is amazing! "
It's something I hadn't heard of before so I went and did a little research:
From AllRecipes:In this version of the classic German dessert, meringue shells are filled with vanilla ice cream and sweetened strawberries... This is a simple recipe that tastes as wonderful and ethnic as the dessert you would get in a German restaurant. I prefer to use strawberries, but anything goes with this one! You can make smaller mounds to have meringue cookies
