Pumpkin Pie Cake
Thank you to Karen for sharing this fun recipe -- It's a cake! It's a pie! It's two desserts in one!
Set oven to 350 degrees.
Lightly grease 13X9 pan
Melt butter in dish and set aside to drizzle on top.
2- 15 oz. of cans of pumpkin puree 1- can of evaporated milk ( I think they only come in one size) ¾ cup of sugar 3 eggs 4 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice 1 teaspoon of salt 1 yellow cake mix 1 cup of chopped walnuts ( or a little more ) 1- 1.5 sticks of butter ( I found 1 is enough but the recipe calls for 1.5)
1. Mix pumpkin, milk, sugar, eggs, pumpkin pie spice and salt together and pour in bottom of prepared pan.
2. Sprinkle dry cake mix over the top of the pumpkin.
3. Drizzle the butter over the dry cake mix.
4. Sprinkle nuts on top. 5. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes.
