Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cake
There is nothing that compares to the perfect combination of peanut butter and chocolate, in my books. This cake recipe showcases the flavor of both of them! Your family will love it!
Ingredients
2 cups flour 2 cups sugar 2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 cup sour cream 1 cup butter, melted 1 cup water 3 tbsp cocoa
1 1/2 cups peanut butter 1 tsp oil
Frosting
1/2 cup butter 2 tbsp cocoa 1/3 cup milk 1 tsp vanilla 2-3 cups of confectioner's sugar
Instructions
Combine melted butter, water and cocoa and mix well until cocoa is dissolved. Add flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.
Add in eggs, sour cream, and vanilla.
Pour batter into a prepared 9x13 baking pan. Bake at 350F for about 30-35 minutes until center is set, and an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Whip together peanut butter and oil. Spread over completely cooled cake.
Combine frosting ingredients, and spread over top of the peanut butter layer.
