Crockpot Peppers and Steak
2 lbs beef sirloin cut into 2 inch strips garlic powder 3 tbsp vegetable oil 1 cube beef bouillon 1/4 cup hot water 1 tbsp cornstarch 1/2 cup chopped onion 2 large bell peppers, sliced 1 15 oz can diced tomatoes 3 tbsp soy sauce 1 tsp white sugar 1 tsp salt (optional)
Season steak with garlic powder. Slice into 2 inch pieces.
Brown in vegetable oil and transfer to the crock pot.
Dissolve the bouillon cube in hot water and add it to the crockpot along with the onion, peppers, tomatoes, soy sauce, sugar and salt.
Place the crockpot on high for 1 hour and then 4-5 hours on low.
Add a slurry of cornstarch during the last 1/2 hour to help thicken. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
