Crockpot Cheesy Beef and Pasta Casserole
1 lb ground beef 1 small onion chopped 4 cloves garlic minced 1 tbsp olive oil 2 cups dry pasta 1 jar pasta sauce (24 oz) 3 cups water 1 tbsp Italian seasoning 1/2 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp salt 1 can diced tomatoes
1/2 cup half and half cream 1 cup mozzarella or cheddar, shredded and divided 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Brown ground beef in frying pan. Drain and add to the crock pot.
In the same pan, saute onions and garlic with olive oil. Add to the ground beef in the crock pot.
Add pasta sauce, water, dry pasta, seasoning and diced tomatoes. Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4.
1 hour before the dinner is ready, mix together 1/2 of the mozzarella or cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese and the half and half. Add to the meat/pasta mixture, and stir until well combined. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top and cook for the remaining 1 hour on low).
