Crock Pot Stuffing
When you've got a million things on the go in your kitchen in order to make your holiday dinner one to remember, setting your stuffing to cook in a crock pot frees up time for you to tackle other pressing matters. Be sure to use day old bread, and not fresh bread or your stuffing will be too moist.
10-12 cups day old bread 1 onion, chopped fine 2 stalks celery, chopped fine 1 apple, peeled, chopped fine 1 1/2 tsp sage 1 tsp thyme 1/2 cup chicken broth 2 tbsp melted butter
Toss ingredients together in a large bowl. Place in the crock pot.
Cook in low for six hours. If you think the stuffing is too dry at about 5 hours in, sprinkle a small amt of additional chicken broth, toss to incorporate and allow to cook for another hour.
