Crock Pot Cabbage Rolls
A family standard over the years, made easy in your crock pot. A hearty winter meal that's always a favorite around our house during the holidays. Ingredients
12 cabbage leaves 1 lb lean ground beef 1 cup cooked rice 1 egg 1/4 cup milk 1 1/2 tsp salt 1 1/2 tsp pepper 1 8 oz can tomato paste 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp lemon juice 1 tbsp brown sugar
Cook cabbage leaves in hot water for 2 minutes. Remove from water, drain and set aside.
In a large bowl combine ground beef, salt and pepper, rice, egg and milk. Mix well.
Place 1/4 cup of the ground beef mixture in the middle of each cabbage leaf. Roll up, tucking in ends like you would with an egg roll. Secure with toothpicks if necessary. Place folded edge down in the bottom of your crock pot.
In a second bowl combine the remaining ingredients, mixing well. Pour over top of the cabbage rolls.
Cover crock pot with the lid and cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 4-5.
