Ingredients
1/2 cup butter 1 1/2 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 cup milk 3 bananas, mashed 2 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp baking powder 1 cup chopped nuts (I used walnuts) 1 cup chocolate chips
Glaze
1/4 cup butter 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed) 1/4 tsp salt 1/3 cup heavy cream 1 cup confectioner's sugar
Directions:
Cream together butter and sugar. Add in eggs, one at a time and then the vanilla.
In a small bowl mixture dry ingredients.
In a separate small bowl mix together mashed bananas, milk and vanilla.
Add both mixtures, alternating, to the butter/sugar mixture.
Add in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
Bake in a prepared bundt pan at 350 for 1 hour.
Allow the cake to rest for 10 minutes, and then remove it from the pan, and let it cool.
To mix the glaze:
Melt butter with sugar in a sauce pan. Add in cream and salt.
Bring to a boil gently for one minute once it reaches a full boil. Do not stop stirring. Remove from heat after one minute and let cool for a few minutes.
Add in confectioner's sugar to the cooled caramel mixture and beat until smooth. Ladle over top of the cooled cake.
