4-5 chicken breasts (raw) 8 oz Swiss cheese (I used slices) 7.5 ounces sliced ham 3/4 cup Italian style bread crumbs 1/2 cup flour 3 eggs beaten 1 tsp water
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F.
Cut chicken breasts into 1 1/2 inch squares about 1/2 inch thick.
Cut Swiss cheese and ham into 1 inch square pieces.
In one bowl mix together eggs and water.
Assemble cordon bleu bites by inserting pieces on a toothpick in this order:
chicken ham cheese chicken
Then roll each piece in flour, then egg and finally bread crumbs.
Place them on a prepared cookie sheet.
When you have completed the assembly process spray the pieces with butter flavored cooking spray.
Bake for 20 minutes.
We left the toothpicks in while they were cooking and removed them afterwords when plating them.
Serve as they are, or with a honey mustard dipping sauce. Recipe link here
