Cheesy Taco Pasta (Crock Pot Recipe)
This cast iron braising pan is what I used to make this recipe.
Sometimes there's nothing more comforting than a cheesy pasta dinner -- this fits the bill and is so easy to make! Perfect for those busy days when a crock pot is your best kitchen helper!
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef 1/4 cup chopped onion 1 clove garlic minced 1 can (14.5 oz) Mexican stewed tomatoes 1 cup water 2 tbsp taco seasoning (make your own from this recipe) 1 cup dry pasta of your choice (macaroni, shells, etc) 4 oz cream cheese 2 cups shredded cheddar
Brown ground beef in skillet. Drain. Add to the crock pot.
Add onion, garlic, water, tomatoes, and taco seasoning. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours.
After the the sauce has been cooking in the crockpot for the desired amount of time, add the cream cheese and stir until melted.
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain. Add pasta and shredded cheese to the crockpot, stirring to incorporate, and then cook on high or 10 minutes longer.
