This is a great recipe when you're looking for a great weeknight dinner that is both easy and hearty!
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef 1 small onion 2-3 potatoes 2 ribs celery chopped 1 1/2 cup water 1/2 tsp salt 2 1/2 cups milk 3 tbsp flour 2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Brown ground beef until no longer pink. Drain and set aside.
In a larger sized sauce pan cook potatoes, onion and celery in water, with salt, until tender.
Add the ground beef and 2 cups of the milk to the vegetable mixture. (Do not drain the water). Maintain the heat on medium to medium high.
In a small bowl combine the remaining 1/2 cup of milk with the flour. Stir well and then add to the rest of the ingredients in the saucepan, stirring until the chowder has thickened.
Remove from heat, and add shredded cheese, stirring until melted.
