Cheese Bacon and Onion Bread
2 onions, chopped fine 2 tsp butter salt and pepper to taste (I used a little garlic powder too) 1 1/2 cup Bisquick Mix (or make your own) 1/2 cup milk 1 egg, beaten 4 slices cooked and crumbled bacon (about 1/4 cup) 1/2 cup shredded cheese for loaf 1/2 cup shredded cheese for topping 1 tbsp melted butter
Saute onions and butter in skillet until translucent. Set aside.
Combine Bisquick mix with milk and egg until moistened. Do not over mix.
Add in the onions, crumbled bacon and 1/2 cup shredded cheese. Mix to incorporate.
Put mixture into a well prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Drizzle melted butter over top of the cheese.
