Caramel Apple Coffee Cake
It's Caramel Apple Season as Halloween approaches and apples are plentiful! This is a great way to capture that taste in this easy to make coffee cake recipe!
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup sugar 1 egg 1/2 cup sour cream 1 tsp vanilla 1 cup flour 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1 cup chopped apples
Streusel:
1/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup flour 4 tbsp butter
caramel sauce
Cream together butter and sugar. Add in egg and beat well. Add in sour cream and vanilla, mixing until well combined.
Add in flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt, until everything is just combined.
Fold in chopped apples.
Pour batter into a prepared 8x8 baking pan.
Combine streusel ingredients, mixing until crumbly. Sprinkle over top of the batter.
Bake at 350F for 35 minutes. Remove from oven, and allow to cool.
Drizzle caramel sauce over the top before serving.
