Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Thanks to Stacey Messina Weiss for sharing her favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe with us. They look exactly how I love them!!

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoon hot water
3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups Chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350F.

In large bowl, cream butter with sugars until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time then stir in vanilla.

Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter, along with salt.

Mix in flour, chocolate chips & nuts. Roll into balls about 1" to 1 1/2" in diameter.

Bake 10-14 minutes- oven temps vary.

Bake until edges are golden but do not overbake!
