Baked Cheddar Potatoes
Thank you to Jean Imboden for sharing this awesome recipe!
Ingredients
Not a specific recipe as it all depends on the size and quantity of potatoes. A quick and easy side dish.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Wash and slice in half as many potatoes as you want. I prefer red potatoes and they are more creamy, but any kind will work.
Line a baking dish with a piece of aluminum foil large enough to fold over and seal the packet. Place potatoes in the foil with the cut side up.
Put a slice of butter of each half. Then sprinkle salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasonings on each potato. Amounts to be determined by your taste.
Wrap foil around potatoes and put into oven. Bake until potatoes are tender. The potatoes in the picture took about 45 minutes.
Once the potatoes are done, sprinkler grated cheddar cheese on top and return to the oven uncovered for about 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
Try different types of cheese for different flavors or leave the cheese off.
