Apple Pecan Porkchops
Ingredients
4 boneless pork chops 3 tbsp butter 2 tbsp brown sugar (I used Splenda's version) 1/2 tsp cinnamon dash of nutmeg dash of salt 2 medium cooking apples, pared and sliced 2-4 tbsp chopped pecans
Brown pork-chops with 1 tbsp of the butter, cooking for about 4 minutes on each side until they are cooked through and nicely browned. Remove them from the skillet and set it aside.
In the same pan, melt the remaining butter, and add the spices and seasoning, apples and pecans. Cook until the apples are slightly softened and the brown sugar begins to thicken. Add the pork chops back in and continue cooking for a couple of more minutes to coat them in the sauce.
Serve pork chops with apples, pecans and sauce spooned on top.
