Sugar-free Sugared Pecans
These are delicious -- but remember - just because they're sugar-free doesn't mean they are calorie free-- I divide mine up into portions and store in mini snack sized ziploc bags to avoid the temptation of eating them all at once. Walnuts can be substituted it pecan halves are out of your budget reach.
Ingredients
2 cups pecan halves (or walnuts) 1 egg white 2 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1/4 tsp cloves 1/4 to 1/2 cup powdered sweetener - I used stevia
Instructions
Measure the pecans into a large bowl. Add egg white and mix well until all of the nuts are coated.
In a small bowl mix the remaining ingredients. Pour mixture into the bowl with the nuts and stir once again until every thing is coated.
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the nuts over top of the paper.
